PADI Or Junior PADI Scuba Diver To Start

Know About Level 1

Level 1

To start your scuba diving journey, you have two options: the PADI Scuba Diver certification or the Junior PADI Scuba Diver certification. Both certifications are designed for individuals who want to experience scuba diving but may not have the time or prerequisites to complete the full Open Water Diver certification.

The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a limited certification that allows you to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet). This certification requires completing three knowledge development modules, three confined water dives, and two open water dives. It is a great option for those who want to get certified quickly and start exploring the underwater world.

The Junior PADI Scuba Diver certification is specifically designed for young divers between the ages of 10 and 14. It follows a similar structure to the regular PADI Scuba Diver certification but with age-appropriate training and depth limits. Junior PADI Scuba Divers can dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet) under the direct supervision of a certified adult diver.

Both certifications provide a solid foundation in scuba diving knowledge and skills, allowing you to enjoy the underwater world with proper training and supervision. However, it’s important to note that these certifications have limitations compared to the full Open Water Diver certification, which allows you to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet).

If you have the time and meet the prerequisites, pursuing the full Open Water Diver certification is highly recommended as it provides a more comprehensive understanding of scuba diving and greater freedom to explore the underwater realm.
