Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving whereby divers use breathing equipment that is completely independent of a surface air supply and therefore has a limited but variable endurance. The scuba diving includes different levels that are given below
Level 1
PADI Scuba Diving
To start your scuba diving journey, you have two options: the PADI Scuba Diver certification or the Junior PADI Scuba Diver certification. Both certifications are designed for individuals who want to experience scuba diving but may not have the time or prerequisites to complete the full Open Water Diver certification.
Level 2
Open Water Diver
The Junior Open Water Diver certification is a scuba diving certification designed for individuals between the ages of 10 and 14. It is a junior version of the Open Water Diver certification, which is the entry-level certification for recreational scuba diving. To obtain this certification, a candidate must complete a series of requirements.
Level 3
Advanced Open Water Diver
The Advanced Open Water Diver certification is an intermediate-level certification in recreational scuba diving. It is designed to expand your knowledge and skills beyond the basic Open Water Diver certification. The Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of both classroom and practical components.
Level 4
Rescue Diver
The Rescue Diver certification in scuba diving focuses on developing skills and knowledge to handle emergency situations and assist other divers in distress. To obtain the Rescue Diver certification, you must have AODW & CPR and First Aid training within the past two years.
Level 5
Master Scuba Diver
The Master Scuba Diver certification is the highest non-professional level in recreational scuba diving. It is a prestigious achievement that demonstrates a diver’s dedication, experience, and proficiency in various aspects of scuba diving.
Level 6
Assistant Instructor
The Assistant Instructor Scuba Diver certification is an intermediate-level certification in the field of scuba diving. It is a stepping stone towards becoming a fully certified scuba diving instructor. After this are qualified to assist certified scuba diving instructors.
Level 7
Open Water Scuba Instructor
The Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) level is the highest level of professional certification in recreational scuba diving. It allows individuals to teach and certify students at various levels, including the Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Rescue Diver certifications.
Level 8
Master Scuba Diver Trainer
The Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) certification allows you to teach a wide range of specialty courses to divers. As an MSDT, you have the ability to teach and certify divers in various specialty areas, such as deep diving, wreck diving, photography, and more.
Level 9
Master Scuba Instructor
The Master Scuba Instructor certification is the highest level of professional certification in recreational scuba diving. It is awarded to instructors who have achieved a significant level of experience, knowledge, and teaching proficiency.
Level 10
Teacher of Teachers Scuba Diver
Teacher of Teachers Scuba Diver is an advanced certification and training program available for scuba diving instructors and teachers who wish to further enhance their teaching skills and become more proficient in training other instructors.
