Advanced Scuba Diver
If your diving abilities are a little “rusty,” taking an advanced scuba diver (or advanced adventure diver) class is a great opportunity to brush up on your knowledge and expertise. You will experience five to six distinct specialties in this program, considerably expanding both your understanding of and comfort in the water.
Skills You Will Learn
You will learn the techniques and equipment needed to complete the required 5–6 open water dives during our one night of classroom training. These three are as follows:
- Night
- Deep
- Navigation
Your instructor and the class will decide which more dives are of interest for the remaining dives. One of the many alternatives available to you may be U/W Photography, Search & Recovery, Wreck, Multi-Level/Computer diving.
Pool time is frequently not required, depending on the class options for the dives. However, you can rest assured that you will have the chance to practice in the pool before moving on to the open water if your planned dives call for further experience.
You will learn how to dive in a variety of conditions in this enjoyable and educational course, and you will get a taste of various specialties you might want to pursue as stand-alone courses later.
What Does Package Include?
Advanced Open Water Class fee covers an evening pool session, one evening classroom session, and having an instructor with you on your check out dives. The 5-6 check out dives themselves are at an additional cost, which varies depending on location.
If you do not own your own gear, we offer rental of any necessary equipment making this a very affordable and enjoyable way for you to increase your diving experience.
In addition to personal snorkeling gear, all divers must have: Primary Light, Back-up Light, Tank Light, Compass, and Cutting Device.
